About the speaker: Kathy Haecker, LPC

Kathy graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1974 with a BS in Elementary Education and in 2010 from Amberton University with an MA in Professional Counseling. She is an LPC in Texas and is also a Certified Biblical Counselor through the Association of Biblical Counselors.

Kathy has been married for 50+ years, and between degrees she raised a large family, taught elementary school, served as a children’s pastor, a jail chaplain, and Teen Court Coordinator. For 13 years she served as a victim’s advocate at three police departments in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and taught at a small private Christian college.

Kathy has been in private practice since 2014 and specializes in trauma-informed care for victims of sexual abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence.
